Jeffrey Smith is a hobbyist woodworker who learned from the best - his father. Over the years Jeffrey watched his father give hundreds of toy cars, trucks, and trains to Toys for Tots in Ohio.
Upon his dad's passing, Jeffrey found a note in one of his workbooks that was willed to him. In the note he asked that Jeffrey remember all the kids who are less fortunate and to make toys for them. His words were "it makes you feel good in your heart." It was at that time Jeffrey started making cars, tops, and whistles for his sister to include in the shoeboxes she fills for Samaritans Purse.
Jeffrey's sister, Lisa Bates, has been active in Operation Christmas Child for several years gathering supplies year-round to fill her shoeboxes.
